BIO’S & LINKS:

Submorphics:

The long awaited ‘Detroit Haze EP’ by Submorphics will soon be released on The NorthQuarter. With lazy Rare Groove aesthetics, the project sees the well-travelled producer showcase his Detroit heritage to the fullest. Although Submorphics is an artist known
throughout the Drum and Bass industry for his consistency in both style and quality, Detroit Haze cements his true musical coming of age. Having earned his stripes in the USA as both a producer and esteemed DJ, he now takes the spotlight as an authentic man of music. It’s only logical that his momentum is captured on Lenzman’s The North Quarter, a record label which values real heart for music and craftsmanship above the so-called flavour of the month.

T.R.A.C:

Perseverance is an often-used word to describe a person overcoming their struggles; a battle conquered per day. In today’s music world, while all the glitz and glamor can be rewarding for some dedicated striving artists, too many don’t maintain longevity and are quickly forgotten. Yet in the middle of it all are those few who stay patient, true to themselves, and focused on their respective musical pursuits. Brooklyn’s own underground artist, T.R.A.C., has climbed to new heights throughout his years of experience in both Hip Hop and Drum and Bass.

Ornette Hawkins:

Ornette Hawkins is a collective of improvisational musicians who fuse together the spontaneity of jazz with drum and bass sensibilities. Using custom, live performances instead of samples, and modern studio techniques, they create complex productions that retain the characteristics of both genres. Following their first release on Subtle Audio, and their recent collaboration with Rude Operator on 31 Recordings, their debut EP, The Other Side of What, featuring a remix from Submorphics and T.R.A.C., is forthcoming on both vinyl and digital on January 19, 2018, from AGN7 Audio.

Rude Operator

https://soundcloud.com/31recordings/sets/rude-operator

Rude Operator is a psychedelic exploration of junglism. DC natives, Max and Julez craft a tribal aesthetic, drawing from indigenous sounds and rhythms. The duo brings organic vibes and new perspectives on their debut EP, released on Doc Scott’s seminal 31 Recordings. Rude operation for the junglist revival!
